BBKaren,
There were a few CB's in my area of NY. I had eaten in them before I moved down here. The food in the ones in NY was just as good and comforting as the CB's here in Tn.
Psssssttttttt! Let ya in on a secret...... highly classified info about to be imparted.....
I always loved going to CB in NY because I loved browsing in the gift shop and drooling. Eating there was just something I had to do for nourishment. You should try the one near you in Jersey.
I've always wondered if anyone has ever bought one of their rocking chairs or checkers tables? I've always wanted them.

SMG,
Thanks for the link. I sat in one of those rockers in the Charlotte airport in Dec./Jan. when my flight was canceled due to that Nor'easter storm that shut down every major airport on the east coast. They are comfy.

When we get the house, the first thing I'm buying is four rockers. Three for us and one guest! I always thought I'd buy them at Cracker Barrel, but maybe not, thanks to SMG!
By the way, great new food website to check out! Thanks SMG!
Karen, definitely go to Cracker Barrel. You won't be disappointed. I'm a food snob, and figured it had to be on par with Shoney's. Nope. The food is great! I agree that the gift shop is fantastic and very reasonable, too. We got Lauren's Halloween costume there. Fantastic quality. I think we paid under $30, but it will last a few years, and was adorable!

My parents bought my two older kids rockers from cracker barrel when they were little. Now, they're still good as new and sturdy as can be. Of course my 2 year old is the only one who can sit in them now but they're incredibly sturdy!

I tell Bill everytime we stop at a CB that I want a rocker from there. I just can't decide if I want white, natural or orange. Good thing we don't have a house yet.... I still have time to decide.

Knoxville Airport has a lot of rockers, too. I like the double ones you can curl up in. Spent 6 hours there last December while they tried to get a slot to land at Newark.
I've got a patio full of rockers I picked up at auctions. I do love the old-fashioned ones.
