Hey Gem,
Thanks for the link. It appears so easy even I can make it.

I so want to be best friends with the woman on Thepioneerwomancooks.com. She says she has no friends. Can you believe it?

Nope. They live on her husbands family ranch (his family is in the top 100 landowners in the entire USA). She doesn't have close neighbors and her home and family keep her busy.

We should all go over there and make her acquaintance!

You're welcome, Pam and McMar! I just got back from the store - my only remaining cocoa was purchased in MA! That has been at least 7 years ago. It might give somebody a little gas -oline!

I'm going to go mix up my biscuits and have them ready to go. We are going to spoil dinner tonight with tummies full of chocolate gravy. Oh, well, I'll give them an apple later!

I say we take a covered dish from the pioneer woman's cookbook and go say "Howdy"! I think Hik is already in the kitchen!

Nah. I'm eating a toasted rib-eye sub with onions, pepper, mushrooms and provolone.

I need to give up this eating thing.

I checked out ThePioneerWomanCooks last night and I think she is a hoot and her recipes look easy.
I used to love to cook before I had the stroke that left me one functioning hand. So Bill swears by the Southern Living cookbooks and he turns out some tasy things.
Gem, I have to get some cocoa. Hik, what a yummy sounding sub, it it from Harby's?
SMG- thanks for the links for the easy biscuts. I think this thread turned into a really fun interesting one, don't you guys?
Pam

Yep Pam, very fun thread! Thanks for starting it. I love to talk about food. And cook food. And eat food. And smell food. But not clean up after dinner.

Of course, that sub is from Harby's, right, Hik? Did you bring enough for everybody? I always told my kids not to eat something in front of others if they didn't have enough to share with everyone. My kids ate a lot in their rooms!

You are so fortunate, Pam, to have your dear Bill do the cooking for you!! I know that life can be compromised after a stroke. He is a sweetie!

I love those websites, SMG. Gotta love a biscuit that gets a KY hound running back home! They all have such cute dialogue. Love it!

I did tenderloins on the grill tonight, and baked some whole sweet onions sprinkled with spices and garlic cloves. Salad and cooked greens on the side. The guys ended up buttering their biscuits with dinner and want their chocolate gravy on ice cream and pound cake later. I think it will work!
