Most of them seem to be cattle operations. We don't have all that much in the way of row crops in our area. We do have a lot of burgers on the hoof, though.

I've always enjoyed the downtown farmer's market, although it seems to be a little thin on produce and heavier on crafts and trinkets.

Yeah, that's what I thought, too.

Once we get settled and set up on our new property, we hope to be able to contribute more produce and flowers to the local markets :-) We really enjoyed doing market production/sales from our farm in North Carolina.
I agree that it would be great to see the area k-ville markets filled with local producers selling ag. products. I will be out supporting the markets this summer for sure! |

Piedmont, I think that is what everyone is hoping for!
![]() Jump right in with both boots! We all love fresh produce and will drive to get it! |

Hmmm...if this is past Farragut, it will likely be about a 40 minute drive or more for us. I'm hoping to find something up in Grainger County maybe....or, hoping for the one downtown to get going.

Of course, with the Saturday morning Farmer's Markets, we go as much for the atmosphere and the experience as we do for the produce.

I've been meaning to get out to this place. It looks like their spring produce market opens next Saturday!

Oh, good! I was hoping someone would respond that has actually been there. The place looks wonderful!
Barring any unexpected issues, I think I'll take a drive out there next Saturday. Can you imagine hiknapster amongst all those Grainger County tomatoes? They may find me deliriously happy under a produce bin with tomatoes juice running down my arms! ![]() |
