far. well, it's only like 15 miles or something but it feels far, or it did when I lived there. especially going west on Kingston Pike in the afternoon.

Gimme it, according to Live Search Maps, it is a 20 min. drive (16 miles) from Farragut to UT.

Not far at all for a daily commute to school or town!

When I was driving from Farragut to almost downtown for a job, it didn't even seem like timing had much to do with it. I could leave at the same time and some days I just zipped right along and made it 15 miles in 20 minutes. Other days, leaving at the same time, it would take 30-40 minutes.
All in all, still not a bad commute if you are coming from somewhere that has REAL traffic woes. Dallas North Tollway was a parking lot from 7AM to 10AM and from 3PM-7PM most days going from Plano to Dallas. And none of the side routes were much better. I finally found one route that was slightly faster. 18 miles in 1 hour was my average drive if it was a GOOD traffic day. I do not miss that at all!!!

I drove from Kingston Pike near Lovell Road in Farragut to Downtown today around 9:30am and it took about 20 minutes.
Outside of peak hours in AM and PM it's a pretty easy drive. Of course if there is a wreck or something it will block traffic up.
Now if you just drove up Kingston Pike, I could see how it might take 40 - 45 minutes (or longer) with all of the traffic lights.
I live in Karns and I can get Downtown on Western Ave in 15 - 20 minutes
