Oh thank goodness! Well, not good, for you at least; but at least my peeps didn't screw up. <whew> I have a great builder that did the remodeling on my house. Maybe he can help? Let me know and I will DM you his name and number. He is a very well respected builder in Maryville.

akd1022 is on a distinguished road
I had a shadow box fence installed in my yard. Tri-County Fence put it up for us. They had to do some excavating to our yard before they installed the fence. But anyway, we were very pleased with their work.

I'd like to buy fencing from Lowe's (white vinyl) - it's cheaper than buying any kind of fencing from a fence company. But then who puts it up? How do I find someone good? (I assume fencing companies won't do it or will charge an arm and a leg)

I have had zero luck finding someone other than a fence company who will do the work. The companies will not want to install any fence other than their own, because they warranty the work and they don't think highly of big box fence panels. If they do it, you're right-- they'll charge you so much, you might as well go custom.

Your best bet is a handyman, but it's really hard to find a good one. You could try a service like Handyman Connection, but they're going to be very expensive.

I continue to be amazed at how much services cost in TN and how difficult it is to get work done. It's easy to find good workers in CA, and the prices are fair. I have found the prices here to be outlandish and have had many no-shows. Even the ones with contracts don't do the work as scheduled. Everybody says that's just the way it is, but I don't understand why.
