fallfanatic, thanks I can't wait to settle in! It'll be a big change for my hubby cuz he's grown up in Va all his life. As for me I'm use to it. I started out in Canada and I've enventually worked my way down south. Love the South!!

TN405, great, we will probably meet at Shoneys on Chapman Highway in Knoxville on the first second Sat of July(instead of the first Sat due to Fourth of July)which is July 12th(hey, day after my birthday  ) Look forward to meeting you and others. Take care, Linda |

Hey,took a break from packing,sorry we will miss the get together this Saturday! We will be loading the truck! Fountain City here we come!!!
UT put the phone interview off today, moving it to next week. Cross fingers and pray it works then.
Hope all is well with you all. One week from today we will FINALLY leave FL. and be in a happier place!!! |

Info on Newcomer club
Just came across this newcomer club for people from Florida and elsewhere when do you all meet? I just registered the end of June trying to meet new people I am from Florida and have been here for two yrs - haven't been able to make a friend yet. My husband and I are retired. Still would liked to meet people were not in the rocking chair yet. I did email a few members but, they didn't mentioned this club. We lived in Greenback - 10 miles from Maryville if were not that far from you all we would be interested. Pls let me know. Tenn Sr.

newbies and locals
Time to meet is 11:30, Shoneys is just south of Knoxville on Chapman Highway, very easy to find, its a block south of Baptist Hospital. See you all there, just tell the hostess you are from the Knox thread so we will be able to get seated together. Its for anyone not just newcomers or people from Fl. We would love some locals to join us as they would have great information that a lot of us newbies would be interested in.
