Thanks again for the gift, its got a place in my sunroom. Sorry I couldnt chat more with you but it was awkward where I was sitting to talk around DH but look forward to seeing you again soon.

That's okay! We were really doing a hit-and-run, today. I'm sure that next time we will be able to stay longer!

Do you remember the name of that Maryville Auction?

I think it's Terry's on Broadway In M'ville.

And, let us add a 'second' to 'we enjoyed meeting everyone' and really conversation with all. I am so glad were able to make it today to place faces with names. And, please tell Lauren we think she's a reall cutey! Thanks to Cindy for the original idea of getting together and Linda for following up with directions, etc.

I'll check it out and let Lauren know that you think she's cute! I was really impressed with everyone at the get-together. Such great people!

Default I agree

I agree with you Cindy, if it hadn't been for my family I'm not sure what I would have done in Fl, we had a few friends but not like here, we are enjoying meeting everyone and it seems even the mix in our ages doesnt seem to be a problem, we seem to have lots in common in spite of it.

Look forward to next month, maybe more people will come like the ones just moving here and settling in, no excuses for next month you guys.

We recently moved here from Maryland. We are in the ages of 35-45. We have a small child and would be interested in meeting other newly transplanted families/individuals. Its tough when you don't know a soul here !!

Take it from one who knows what you are feeling--I started on CD by meeting friends and after a few months feel like I have new friends for life. Stay tuned to this thread and others. Very soon you will find your TN niche. Good luck and welcome.

We just moved here this week from MD and have 3 boys, ages 2, 4 and 6!

We will make a point to be there next month-although I am sure I will be droopy-eyed since I work friday night/saturday mornings
