Knoxville Relocation (house hunting, zoned, job)

Hi all,

Well it has been a couple of weeks since I was last on the forum, but in that time I have made it to Knoxville and started my new job. So far everything is going great. I have officially started the house hunting process and have been very pleased so far at what I have looked at. I would like to ask for some input on a specific school though and it is Northwest Middle school. Any and all input is welcome.

Welcome to Knox, and you can go to the Knox city schools site, and see all you requested. I have heard nothing bad about it.

Actually, when I had asked a group of people about a specific house, when they said it was zoned for Northwest, they almost ALL said to beware--not sure why, they just said it had gone downhill...I can try and get some more specific things from them if you are interested...

I'd say the schools can vary around there. It depends on the school I suppose. Amherst Elementary is a pretty darn nice school. I think that's considered "northwest".

I believe he's referring to Northwest Middle School. It did have a bit of a spotty reputation a few years ago but I think the problems have now been dealt with successfully.

Thanks for the input so far, and yes I did mean Northwest Middle School. My current realator seemed to think it might have some issues. I will beep looking into it, and please do continue to send my any info on it.
