Oak Ridge Summer Internship - Apartments? (Knoxville: lease, work, university)

Hello World,
I'm new to this site and have been reading posts and seeing that members are very helpful. I have an internship at Y12 security complex in Oak Ridge that will last just 3 months for the summer starting in mid May. I'm having trouble finding apartments that are close to that area. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to find a one or two bedroom, I've comminicated with another intern about possibly being roommates. This date is getting close, and I'd really appreciate any help! Thanks!

My husband didn't have trouble renting in West Knoxville when he went down in May, but he signed a 6 month lease. You might be able to find something near the University, since the college will probably be on summer schedule, not as many kids there. But I'm just guessing, maybe a site on college apartments would help.

Thanks, I'll take a look at some things in west Knoxville. I ideally wanted to stay in Oak Ridge and be as close to work as possible. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you haven't found a place yet, you could try Rolling Hills, and if the whole roommate thing fell through, I could use one too...lol
