How 'bout Kimberly Williams-Paisley? Has she asked about me too?

I just love other people's wives.

You're such a cad!

How is Keith in "real life?" I hope he is getting his act together.

Well, I don't know any of them personally, but according to the gals on The View, Keith is recovering and doing fine and Nicole is with child!

Alleycat, there are so many fish in the sea, according to my DH, you don't even need a truck!

Yes, I am. ;-)

He's different in real life than he appears on stage (or he was, it's been almost ten year since I've hung out with him). On stage he looks like he full of confidence and your typical "rock star". In real life he's reserved and can be on the quiet side, to the point that someone might think he was shy. When I knew him he was just starting to "make it", but he already had a few wannabe female groupies hanging about.

I'm sorry, I had to say something. That's an uppity post.

"Should I get rid of my old, yet beautiful luxury car? I don't want to upset those poor Knoxvillians. You know no one there could afford a really nice vehicle." Please.

No, that's not what you said, but that's how it read.

Iris Queen,
It may be how it was read, but still it is nice that people can freely ask things without being judged. At least they were wondering if they'd stick out, instead of being so full of keeping up with the Jones type lifestyle. Questioning that IMHO is a good thing. I don't think it is counterproductive to question ones values and possesions every once in awhile. After all many people get so caught up in a lifestyle and the pursuit of material possesions, that if someone stops and considers and asks a sincere question, they should get a sincere answer. If they hadn't asked, that could be considered uppity.
Just my 2 cents for what it is worth.
Pam

Pam, you said that just perfectly and I think you reflect what most of us feel.

It is difficult to make a big move to another area and we all want to be accepted and liked. It is only natural to worry about how we might be perceived by native folks.

I have asked many of those same kinds of questions when I was first getting to find my way around the TN and Knoxville forums.

How much better to be concerned and ask than to not give a hoot and just expect others to make the attitude adjustment.

I would think that itsme2 (the OP) would feel very comfortable now about hanging onto his beloved car.

Very much appreciate the mostly kind and graceful responses to my question. My question was an honest one and I think I got honest answers here. My old Benz will live on in Tennessee, soon we hope. One small problem, have to sell our home in Florida before we can get there, LOL.

Thank you.
