Need help finding 6 mo lease in Jefferson City or Dandridge area (hardwood floor, for sale)

I am hoping someone can help us find a temporary place to live in Jefferson City, Dandridge or surrounding area. We bought property in March near Cherokee lake off Lakeshore dr. We are retiring and thought we would have thru the summer to get our house built but a chain of events has us moving to the area sooner than expected, our current home sold in 1 day. But now we have no where to live and I am not having any luck finding a place that offers a 6 mo lease and will allow my little dog too without breaking the bank. Anyone that can offer some help would be greatly appreciated. We are in the area until Sat meeting with builders and trying to get the building process started. I know there are a lot of locals that help out newbies and I'm hoping you can come thru again. We are moving June 30th. Thanks

i have run into places that are empty which are for sale. perhaps you could look for empty homes on a lease - something to think about

I have 6 months left on my lease and I want out of it. We are in Dandridge just on the outskirts near 66! We want to buy a home and we have to wait because we have 6 months left here. We are on 1 acre and its a brand new 3 BR 2.5 bath home with a walk out basement, hardwood floors (pergo) but it's about 1300 SF. Its kind of small! If you cant come up with anything else, PM me and maybe we can figure something out. Landlord would require a background check and all. At least if mine doesnt work out you could see if anyone else wants out of there lease?

Well I am happy to say we have secured a place that is not in the middle of all the college activity. Thanks to all for your input.
