Well hello again. I was wondering if anyone had some input on if I should purchase a new vehicle in Florida before I move to Tennessee or if I should purchase it once I get there? Does anyone know if prices vary by state or if taxes and/or surcharges would be any different?
Thanks. |

Sales tax is higher in Tennessee, but if you buy your car within 6 months (I believe) before moving to Tennessee, when you register your car in Tennessee you'll have to pay the differene in sales tax anyway, so you don't necessarily save any sales tax by buying your car in Florida first. |

we bought a honda pilot in morristown, had great service and friendly sales staff though I can't say I had a good experience in knoxville. Alcoa is better than knoxville but morristown experience was better.
