Question Wilton Method Cake Decorating Classes @ Hobby Lobby

Has anyone ever taken a Wilton Method Cake Decorating Class at Hobby Lobby in the Knoxville area? I have been considering taking a class and then today in the paper was a coupon for half off a class. I would like to hear pros and cons and wonder if it would be worth my time.

Wink Start with a tart; bake a cake.

SMG, my daughter-in-law took a cake decorating class at a local community college adult program (nights for 5 or 6 classes).

She learned so much about it, including decorative flowers and banding using the pastry funnel that she now does cakes for weddings, showers, friends' parties, etc. out of her home. She loves it and creates some of the most lovely cakes and petit fours.

I would imagine that you would really enjoy it and learn very quickly. Being a good chef and baker (and wine connoisseur) to begin with can't hurt!

genelia is on a distinguished road
I attended Wilton's classes some time back and they were really good in what they were teaching. I could make a lot more cakes at home. Have a cake kit in the kitchen with all my stuff to make a nice cake. Got the info on cake decorating classes at the site but I think Wilton's is the best of the lot.

My mom did 35 years ago. Her decorated cakes are incredible. She even made the wedding cakes for me and all my siblings.
