I noticed rent seemed to be a little cheaper in Oak Ridge. We're actually going to be living in Rolling Hills Apartments, know anything about them?! They seem great, rents right where we'd like it, they accept our dog and other little things we liked about them.

We do have a 1 year old daughter and will be looking for a school district in the next few years of course for her, thanks for the good word on OR schools.

Michigan's just horrible all around and thats why we're getting out. I can't wait to move

Any other tips/suggestions/advice you have for us? We're young...

aaronncas, I hope you haven't locked yourself into a lease at Rolling Hills without seeing them first. The rent might be low for a reason!

I admit that in the brochures they look really nice, but amazing things can be done with photography!! I live in Oak Ridge, and though I haven't seen the inside of the apartments, the outside looks extremely 'dreary' and 'sad'!

Please be sure to check them out before locking yourself into a lease!! Check out the neighbors, to make sure that you will feel safe there with your daughter!

I've only eaten at the Oak Ridge RL down here...and we've always had great service and great food. And every time we have been in there they seem really busy.

Living in Maryville we don't get to go to a Red Lobster often. I do like to whip up cheddar garlic biscuits at home from time to time for my "fix".

Welcome to our area, just had lunch today in rl in Oak Ridge, and have been to both Merchansts and Kingston pike many times. All three are always busy, and the one in Oak Ridge, probably does the most lunch, due to all the gov workers. Kingstons Pike, the most for evenings. good luck.
