Restaurants that allow dogs in Knox, Blount or Sevier
Does anyone know of any restaurants with outdoor seating that allow leashed dogs? (besides Sonic!) In any of the 3 counties. Thanks....

I would imagine 5 Guys and Fries (outdoor seating) in Alcoa behind Cracker Barrel. Perhaps The Tomato Head on the sidewalk seating area on Broadway in Maryville. Amburn's Drive In on E Broadway in Maryville is a sit and eat in your car type place, but fun nonetheless. Fun question!

I would be interested in the answer to this question too. I just recently found out that dogs arent allowed in Cades Cove, I was sad to hear that as I wanted to take my little Lapsa on the drive. We do take him to Sonic for Ice Cream though.

This is just a guess, but Trio in Market Square downtown has some outdoor seating, they might let you bring a dog there.
Also, I'd imagine Pizza Palace would allow dogs since you eat in your car. They also have the best Pizza in the region (meaning the state of TN and beyond). And yes I've eaten @ Stefano's, Harby's and DaVinci's.
Sawyers in the Fort, behind Walgreens on the Strip might allow dogs.

We take our dogs to Panera in Turkey Creek early on Saturday's, eat breakfast on the patio and then walk the girls. I have not seen any signs, or had anyone say anything to us.
There are very few people there around 8am, but just about everyone that comes around has to stop and pet them.

Dogs are an 'okay' feature in the outdoor seating area of Panera. Been there, done that at many Paneras in Central Florida. Dogs are also welcome in the outdoor seating area at Einsteins--water dishes provided!

Outdoor eating with pets
I have seen pets at McCallisters if they have outdoor seating.

"Dogs are allowed in campgrounds, picnic areas, and along roads, but must be kept on a leash at all times."
As an avid hiker and backcountry camper I'm pretty familiar with the rules in the Smokies. I'm pretty sure you are allowed to take dogs into Cades Cove as long as they're on a leash not longer than 6 feet.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Pets (U.S. National Park Service)
However you are not permitted to have dogs on any of the backcountry trails for a variety of reasons, i.e. disease, chasing wildlife, being eaten by wildlife, etc.
If you're interested you can verify the dog policy with a phone call to the Sugarland's Visitors Center. (865) 436-1291
