Furniture (Hik Buys a House!) (Knoxville, Maryville: new house, live, auction)

I asked this question a looooong time ago. Since there are so many new people on the forum, I thought I would ask it again. Also, this time I REALLY need furniture.

What is the best furniture store in town? The best deals?

I just bought from Knoxville Wholesale Furniture, went to several others but ended up going back to them. There are good ones, just depends on what you are looking for.

There is a place in Lenoir City, next to Tractor Supply, and I am having a brain meltdown with the name of it. I will repost when I can think of it, or someone else can chime in. We have purchased a few items from them - name brand, but may be last yrs model/color. Generally 30-50% lower than other places.

You could always try Craigs List. My husband told me recently that there was all kinds of furniture on there...

Hey, what about that Terry's Auction in Maryville on Saturday's? Someone mentioned it on another post and said they had Ethan Allen furniture at good prices? I'm making notes on all these people and places for when I get there in August.

My Blount Country neighbor purchased from Knoxville Wholesale Furniture and recommends their products and delivery. I have seen her furniture and it looks like quality workmanship to me.

Hik, there are websites for each of the suggested stores that let you see what they have available. All look very reasonable.

Furniture Stores and Furnishings in Knoxville TN Smoky Mountains lists many businesses in the general area with links to most of them. This is a very big list, but does give you access to many sites.

WBIR had an all-star list of all kinds of businesses on one of their news' feature reports. The web page is gone, but the recommendation is still on the google search for Knoxville Wholesale Furniture on Parkside Drive in Knoxville. They are a very well-developed website. I have never been there, so cannot vouch for their merchandise, but it looks like there is quite of choice.

Whataride, I wonder if you were thinking of Paul's Tire and Furniture? His store in in Loudon, however, not Lenoir City. I thought that the name sounded pretty comical, but the website shows that he has two businesses there and the one is the wholesale furniture store.

Can I go shopping with you, hiknapster? Huh, can I? It is so much fun to start getting ideas about a new house. You will really enjoy the journey, I know. Wouldn't it be great to get one of those wonderful City-Data gift certificates for Overstock about now? Maybe, boost it up to about $500.00 for new home-owners. Hey, you'll need a shower curtain and some window blinds, too.
