Maryville "For Sale" Real Estate Signs
All of a sudden it seems that a LOT of the Maryville "For Sale" real estate signs are sporting "SOLD" signs on them! Some of the higher end homes still seem to be sitting, but the up to $400K range seems to be moving finally! Yay! Any realtors out there with real data to share with us?

This is not a scientific observation, but the house I just bought in Knoxville has a "SOLD" sign on it. I wish the people inside the house would take the hint and move.
Seriously, that would be wonderful news!

Excellent! I have made my "make forum member's coffee come out of their nose" quota for today. I might as well pack it up and go home!

Thanks for the laugh!
But it has to be empty and shiny clean in a few days, right, because you have your walk-through? And you can't do that while they're sitting out on the front lawn in their broken down car!
'Course you could always drop a big ol' less-than-subtle hint. Go over there with your real estate agent to "measure," feign major surprise when you see them and say something like, "Oh, my, are you still here? I thought you'd be long gone by now. You're gonna have to hire a service to get this place all cleaned up by Thursday, aren't you?" Then smile charmingly and keep on walking.

SmokyMtnGal, IMHO, I wouldn't get very excited about less for sale signs being out there just yet... Could be more sales in that desirable area, taken off the market, etc., who really knows...
With the state of the economy, it's not looking pretty in a lot of areas with jobs being lost, etc., I feel the worst is yet to come..

I'm seeing lots of sold signs, too. Pushing off the bottom, dead cat bounce, too much happy juice, who knows? But I never really noticed a big drop out where I'm looking.
The economy does look grim, with more bad to come, but I just haven't seen it rippling down so much here. Everywhere I go, I see people remodeling like crazy!
Then, too, hik did buy a house, so that has to preface sunny skies ahead.

Remodeling is the thing right now, I just got done putting up pine boards and insulation in the master bedroom outside walls, with the master bathroom, vanity area, and walk-in closet yet to go.... This is not for resale, but 1. For heat loss and 2. for cosmetics...
Yes there is more bad to come, this is just one company that affects many products,....The Associated Press: Dow Chemical raising prices by another 25 percent (broken link)
