I seriously doubt there are any county zoning ordinances against prefab homes anywhere around here, but if you buy into a planned development there very well may be some HOA ordinances against it. You'll have just to check with your realtor as you look for land.
East Tennesseans love their freedom to do what they want on their own land, so chances are if you're purchasing land in a rural area you probably don't have to worry about very strict zoning.
