I'm not an expert, seeing as how I moved to Knoxville five days ago, but we enrolled our daughter in school today and there was no mention of money. It may be referring to book fees. The high school I worked at in Kentucky charged $40 ($28 for reduced lunch, none for free lunch) for yearly book fees to offset the cost of books.

No one ever mentioned any $$ to me either until today--I called the local elementary school that my son will be attending and was told that there is a $25 registration fee that we have to pay--and that we will get info about it when he gets sent home after the first day.. This is a public elementary school--

Copper Ridge charged $25. There has been no mention of it, so far, at Sterchi.

This is the easiest to understand brief explanation of a heat pump, I have ever found It's on the How Stuff Works website.

HowStuffWorks "How does a heat pump work?"
