Does anyone lived in the Maryville/Greenback area?
Just wondered if anyone lives in Maryville or Greenback area - it's seems liked everyone lives in the city of Knoxville, Fountain City, or Cedar Bluff area. I have met wonderful people on this forum but, wondered why no one is moving in the Maryville/Greenback area? Thanks, TennSr

I'm so glad to hear you all live in my area - are any of you going to the next meeting? How long have you live here ,and is everyone else new to the area? Where is the closest Farmers Market? TennSr

Back in college (20 years ago) I dated Ricky in Greenback and Roger in Maryville. If you see them, tell them I said "hi". Both towns struck me as very nice, quiet places to live.

Tenn Sr, we have been here full time for just one month and are finding the folks of this area to be as helpful and friendly as others on the forum have previously stated. We are in Blount County enjoying and appreciating all of the local scenry and beauty. The forum is a great place to meet folks and make friends. We, too, are from FL; actually, still have a home in FL but not for too much longer we hope.
If you get an opportunity to join the CD group that meets on the first Saturday of the month, I urge you to do so. We meet the group this month and wouldn't you know, all eight of us have/had FL ties!

Yes , I will be going to the CD group and can't wait to meet everyone I was worried that everyone live so far away from what I had read on the board. It's nice to know some of you are closer and maybe we can meet once a while after the meeting.

They both are really nice towns [ the problem is no one in my area of Evergreen Farms comes out of their houses. I see them pick up the mail, go to work, and push their garbage can out = that's about it. On New Year's eve we invited 5 neighbors over for a get together and one family showed up. We still had a good time. You think Ricky and Roger are still here?

Tenn SR, keep inviting those neighbors. You never know.
I live south of town, off of 6 Mile Road, with a gorgeous view of Chilhowee Mtn. Our neighborhood is filled with locals AND transplants like us. We have a fall potluck gathering at one home or another, and have even put together an emergency list for all the neighbor contacts. The first year, only a couple people showed up. The next year half the neighborhood came.
Give them to the fall, when the heat is gone. You might get to see more of your neighbors then.
