Moving to TN (Knox) with horses...any info?
I am looking to move to TN soon and have two horses. I need a rental property that would take horses. Does anyone have any information on where I might be able to find something like that near Knoxville? What towns would be close enough to Knoxville, but rural enough to have land for horses? Thanks for your help.

I don't know of a specific place for your horses, but one area I'd look at is Blaine in Grainger Co., 25 min. from downtown Knoxville. Another possibility is Luttrell in Union Co., approx. 35 min. from downtown K'ville.

Hello!
There are several properties in our area where horses are kept, including our 2 next door neighboors. However, I do not know if any have rental facilities available. But since I do know there are a lot of horese in this county area, it might be a good place to start looking.
We live in McMinn County, halfway between Knoxville and Chattanooga - about an hour into the central part of each metro area. We are also about 2 1/2 hours away from Atlanta and Nashville. Athens is the county seat, with a population of around 18,000 - 20,000. Cleveland is the next county seat ot the south of us, with about 45,000.

The property you have for rent looks really neat! Hope the OP looks into it. Blaine would be a great area for folks were commuting to downtown Knoxville. It is rural, but not too far away.

I have to say that all of the replies you've recieved are actually very true. The areas they have told you about are great and very beautiful.I actually live in Mascot, and on Mine Rd.there is a place that boards horses. There are also the most beautiful homes in this area.I myself ,am looking for a rental home for my oldest son,in the same area.He has just finished school, has a very good job,and is also going to college,in the evenings.so if anyone knows anything in the area please contact me via this site.(THANK YOU ALL).But all the areas mentioned , are really wonderful.I am ,however, very partial to the Mascot area.It is Knox.County.And about 20-25 minutes with a little extra driving time,to the middle of downtown.I also have horses that are boarded at this horse "ranch".It's great and they are extremely professional as well, and very expereinced with horses. Please check into them and we look forward to having you as a "neighbor".
