Some of the BW inns do allow animals. We have also stayed at Jamieson Inns that accepted pets.

We stayed in a Country Inn & Suites as well as Comfort Inn on our way here from CT.
Just to let you know we were travelling with 4 dogs (3 over 120 lbs.) and 2 large cats. We had to take them 2 at a time through a lobby and up the elevator to the 3rd fl in the Country Inn & Suites. They didn't charge any more for having animals. It was great. The Comfort Inn was on one level but charged $5 for each animal. When you're tired, you'll pay it.

Since we're heading down to east tn. for two weeks in the spring to scout locations this "pet friendly hotel" info is incredibly helpful. I have a 2 yr. old 100+ lb. GSD and it's discouraging when all you find are "no pets over 20 lbs." sites. Once again the people of the TN forum to the rescue! I'm sure our pup doesn't care where we move to but he does care if he gets left behind during our search.

I know from first-hand experience that the Jamieson Hotel in Alcoa will accept GSD's. We stayed at the Inn when a GSD breed show was held nearby and the Inn was overrun with GSDs. BTW, we own one, too.

Now that's a lot of GSD's lounging in the lobby! lol Thank you very much for that Alcoa tip. Maryville and Townsend are planned "looks" so that's super. We were originally going to show our GSD, then decided against it for various reasons. His sire is 2005 Grand Victor Waysides's Honky Tonk Man and his dam from Amber Kennel but the more we looked into it the more political the shows became. Thanks, but no. So he's just our big old goofy companion. Real big, actually, and hence the pet hotel dilemma.
Thank you soooooo much! I'd love to hear about your GSD so feel free to DM me!
I just did an online check of the Alcoa Jamieson Inn and it looks like their policy changed in 2007. Pets up to 15 lbs. only.

Townplace Suites on N. Peter Road, and Super 8 off Watt Road both take pets I know.
Townplace is more of a "comfy" place to stay, but much more expensive.
