Make sure the land is perkable - have a soil test done to make sure it will support a well, a septic tank, etc.
Have you considered asking a realtor to find you what you want? Real Estate is kinda slow right now and Realtors are particularly helpful lately - especially if you know what you want and you are serious.
My Realtor found me my adorable house that I'm closing on this Friday and I had less to spend than you! Granted mine just has 1/3 acre and is in city limits, so it doesn't suit your needs, but the point is that your Realtor should be working for you.

well congrats on your new house! And I do have a realtor, I send him all the listings I think I might like and he researches them for me for restrictions etc. Ideally I would want a piece of land that is all ready for a mobile with a nicely cleared section for the site...=)
