Not only did they raise the rates....they did an audit and anyone who was ever late in the past 15 years of service at our co-op got assessed any where from 25.00 to a 150.00 additional deposit that they tacked on to our already high rate. They like to kick the crap out of us after they throw us down.

When I write out a check to them, I write "Gulf Coast Electric Thieves." The cashier ladies get a kick out of it and they cash it every time. They must get a lot of that.

It's not too hot? Do you get a breeze? I have my air on 77 during the day and 72 at night and it is still high. I also have ceiling fans in every room and small fans by the floor vets. Sometimes it is cooler outside then in my house. I pray for rain every day to cool things off.

Hengy,
No, that does not make me "feel better" because we just moved from rediculous rates like that. Can't really compare apples and oranges...but I am sorry yours is so high, that's awful

I have massive trees on my property. I have a solid house that was built in 1955. The outside is cedar shake.

I have not turned on the A/C during the day. Not once. I do not open the windows. My temp when I come home is 78 degrees.

Natives think the heat is brutal. I think it is fantastic compared to Florida.

They also think the winters are terrible. I think they are fantastic compared to Mass.

There are a lot of halfbacks that are here for a reason!
