Default Mounting/Installing a flatscreen - Know a guy or gal?

Hey everyone! I've been deep into the books and haven't been on for awhile...but, I stopped back by to see if anyone on City-Data could help me out. I'm looking to see if anyone knows of an independent person who mounts TVs on walls. It's really expensive if I have Best Buy or someone do it...

Has anyone else had a TV mounted on the wall? Who did you use?

(Feel free to PM me if you do the service)

I can't speak from personal experience, but CEDIA certifies electricians who are properly qualified to do that type of job. You can find one close to you through this link Find a Residential Electronic Systems Contractor for home theater, multi-room audio and video, home automation and more . I'd trust anyone that they certify since their name means a lot when talking about home theater equipment.

Indychic, it is not a job for a novice, especially if you have a multi-speaker sound system, but just about anyone who knows about electronics and sound systems can do it.

You received some good recommendations already and I wouldn't hesitate to follow these posters recommendations.

My sons did ours with a 10 speaker surround-sound and we just love it! I know you will enjoy yours. Just don't give up the books!!

My oldest 3 sons are all techies and used a meter of some sort that balanced out all of the speakers for the optimum listening experience. It is really wasted with someone who only has partial hearing, but if your installer is a high-tech guru you will really get hooked.
