I'm still ticked off with the prices. It's about $92 a barrel. Last time it was that price, we were paying a lot less at the pumps.
If you go to the Tennessee website to complain, they want you to fill out this long form and you had to have purchased the gas. That's ridiculous. I want to file a complaint, but I certainly did not pay $4.99. I stayed home.
Apparently, being a huge embarrassment and a national news item did nothing to motivate the attorney general.

When is the next election? Soon, I hope! Might not be the quickest fix but votes sometimes speak louder than words.

More than the price of gas, when will they begin to receive deliveries? I see more gas stations without gas to sell here each day. My husband & I are retired and feel sorry for the people who need to travel each day to work and can't find gas.

Every Exxon I drive by does not have gas. Neither does Ingle's. I guess that solves that mystery. Ingle's gas may be Exxon gas!
That's the gas I'm waiting for, since the ones that I saw did not gouge. I've been limping along on Citgo gas, $5 at a time.

The "no casino" guy finally got gas. Did you know that station is full-serve? I know that some of you might know that, but we sure didn't.
In '96, when I left Mass., there were still full-serves around. Probably not anymore, though. When I got to Florida I never saw one again.
So we went over to the self-serve, but a guy still ran up, collected our money and helped us. Wow! And I thanked him for not gouging us.
We paid $3.59 for that gas.

some states have nothing BUT full-service! (NJ for one, last I knew)
But I agree, a long time since I have actually seen one.
Hubby says he saw the $3.39's around today too Of course, we both filled up at $3.59 a few days ago.

I'm seeing $3.49 and $3.39 in West Knoxville on Kingston Pike. That's below the Pre-Hurricane Ike gouging levels.
They all seem to have gas.
It was one of the few times I did it right, I filled the tank a week ago Thursday, just before the price hike, and still have half a tank left.
Usually, I fill up the day after the price goes up.
