Gatlinburg campgrounds?
Can any one recommend a good campground for motorhome camping around Gatlinburg? My wife and I want to spend several days there around the middle of October but only so much info can be gained from visiting the various websites for the different campgrounds.
We have a 38 ft. moho with slideouts, towing a Jeep Wrangler and bringing along 2 small dogs.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

Might want to check out either the campground in the Smokies, Smoke Mont, i think? When i was driving thru Pigeon Forge a few weeks ago, i saw one or two there as well.

Twin Creek RV Resort is a real nice one in Gatlinburg, they have a website, check it out.

Outdoor resorts, will be your best fit, about 20 minutes out of Gatlinburg, and it is a franchise, and very nice.

sorry lakerat, I checked and the outdoor rs, has changed, and if you goggle campgrounds, you can choose from several. I did see crazy horse, and its ok, and the old outdoor resorts, is still there, just not sure of the new name. We camped for years, so enjoy.

Thank you all for your responses. I stumbled across "East Tennessee Camping Club" forum and after reading a number of posts there we booked at Smokey Bear Campground. There is a lot of positive feedback from folks about Smokey Bear.
