Cool Summer in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Sevierville

I am curious about the weather, mainly the humidity, in the areas of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Sevierville and the like.

We have been to Tennessee several times but not up in this area around the summer months and just curious what it's like. Are there family friendly activities to enjoy?

Thanks for the input

H10 is on a distinguished road
In my mind, Sevier County is the vacation capital on TN (Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Sevierville). Dollywood plus all of the touristy stuff you could want is there, plus the mountains with rafting and hiking for the athletic adults.

But you should expect hot weather in July, I personally prefer Spring & Fall for outdoorsy stuff just because cold is better than hot for taxing athletic activities. Still that area is cooler than Knoxville due to altitude.

It's been dry so the humidity has been low. It's warm in the summer but nice. You will find, like it has been mentioned, alot of people in those areas. You will be bumper to bumper with hundreds of people walking around.
