Default New homes/communities in Farragut

Hey Everyone,

We are thinking of relocating to Tennessee. I was trying to find out if it is still possible to buy a brand new home in Farragut for $300k or less. It seems with the info I have found homes average close to $400. Is that accurate?

Thanks
Tony

I'd be shocked if you couldn't find something for that price. There are a lot of unbelievably expensive neighborhoods in Farragut (my parents stopped at a house the other day anticipating a price near $800K, only to find that it was listed for $1.7 million - sheesh!), but the vast majority of them have a good number of reasonably-priced homes. Local realtors can probably help you more, but I'm pretty confident there's something out there for you.

Thanks for your reply. I hope you are right. We are in a pickle right now as we are selling our home in Florida (Ocala). The housing downturn has shown me that the next house I buy I will be in until my son is grown or until I leave this Earth. I love the Knoxville/East Tennessee area, my Dad lives in Oak Ridge which I like but my wife wants to be close to all of the "new" stuff.

Thanks again,
Tony

Hey Floridabear77, many places to choose from, and since you mentioned Oak Ridge, you should check out Hardin Valley area, and maybe Karns. Good luck, and yes, you can find many in your price range, so look even at asking price of maybe 325, as you can possibly buy for less.

Thanks for he input I will check it out. I also need to be around good schools. I have heard good things about Farragut schools and Maryville schools, any info on Lenoir City/Loudon County schools and growth.

Thanks
