My Mother passed away this morning. She had been ill for some time, and she is no longer in pain.
We were at the Cremation place making arrangements, and I asked the man about my Mother's pacemaker, and what they did with them, or if it was an issue with cremation.
Turns out that they will explode during the cremation if missed. There is a form we have to sign indicating if there is one.
Here is the cool part....
Turns out that they take them out and donate them to the UT Vet Hospital for use in animals.
While my Mother really had no organs to donate, she is able to help save an animal's life. I know she would be very pleased.

I am soooo sorry to hear about your mother. You and your family are in my prayers.

But knowing that her pacemaker is going to continue to help animals is wonderful. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Jack, I'm sending thoughts and prayers for you and your family. The ending result perhaps can be likened to the ending of a perfect storm. May your mother rest in peace knowing her good work is continuing with an animal. What a thoughtful son she raised.

Jack, I am so sorry about your loss and will keep you in my prayers!! What a wonderful legacy for your Mom to be able to help an animal. Thank you for the information about pacemakers too - both of my parents have pacemakers and this is good information to know for future reference!! God bless you and your family!

My sincere condolences in the loss of your mother. What a wonderful gift to be able to help animals with her pacemaker. I'm sure she will be looking down smiling about that.
