Since I want to work not too far from work, I wanted to search for a job as soon as I got settled in a new place that's not too far. In general, how hard is it to find a entry level job in Knox? I just want to work somewhere clean and rewarding, not worried about high income. That'll come if I prove myself to the employer. Rather be happy than have money myself.
Washer and Dryer hookups = happiness.

You're right, there are some very nice apartment complexes in Knoxville. I hope you can find a good one with washer and dryer hookups! And don't forget, as a general rule the farther away you are from campus, the more reasonable the rent will be.
The unemployment rate in Knoxville is very low, something like 3.5%. Your best bet will probably be to get on with a temp agency as soon as you get here. I know a lot of people who ended up with great jobs that started out as temp jobs. I think a lot of companies prefer using temp agencies, too.
Good luck!
