suggestions for a place to live?
I'm wondering if anyone here has advice on an area for my sister (single, no kids) to live. A little about what she's looking for:
1) A quiet area, neighbors not very close-by.
2) racially diverse, tolerant, friendly.
3) she doesn't mind a trailer-home community, but not "trailer park-ish" (if that makes sense).
4) a place where she won't be bothered by people, she's very private.
5) some land so if she gets a dog, there would be no problems.
6) relative close access to shopping, Wal-Mart, etc.
7) her price range: $10,000 - $30,000. (I know that seems odd) but she doesn't mind being out of town.
Any suggestions I could pass along to her would be greatly appreciated. She prefers the Knoxville are after spending some time there. She likes the mild climate and greenery.
thank you!

10,000-30,000? You must have heard Tn. is cheap? Not anymore.

Hasn't ever been that cheap, unless it was very basic and long ago.
Yes it does seem odd, very odd, unless it is referring to a manufactured home.

Weisgarber,
Just to clarify.... I know Tn. isn't cheap. I was being sarcastic because of those moving to Tn. for "cheap"and not moving here because they want to for any other reason except they heard it is cheap to live here. There is so much more to Tn. then that.

I traipse all around this state (contrary to the belief by some that I live here on City-Data, BWAAAHHHH!), and while I am not in real estate, I can say that I have not seen your requirements in over 20 years. Very unrealistic in these days and times.

Heiskell, TN...but count on renting the trailer for $10,000 a year and never owning it.

$833 a month to rent a trailer in Heiskell? I doubt it. I rented a mobile home for a lot less there for three years. It was the best park in the town. Wouldn't want to do it again, though.

I think that was a joke. You could buy a used trailer for 10-30K but then you'd have lot rent.
I dunno, you might find something like that up in morgan, scott or fentress counties but it wouldn't be racially diverse and it's unlikely it would be close to shopping.

Here's a question: why is your sister not posing these questions herself? Are you trying to get rid of her?
I am in the landlord business and whenever someone calls on behalf of someone else that raises huge red flags. Unless they are in the peace corps in Borneo or something.
