Question...Sevierville and Pigeon Forge
Sevierville and Pigeon Forge are these locations more of a vaction spot or are there many year round residence?
Looks to be a beautiful place (s) are there any down points to these areas?
Thanks Kerry

It is a beautiful area you ask about. There are plenty of year round residents but it is a heavy tourist area.
The down side to living there is the traffic, if you don't learn the back ways.

Mostly service type jobs here (motels, restaurants), and darn few of them. But this may be the case everywhere in this country at the moment.

Traffic, and lots of tourists, but if you get off the beaten path, such as Wears Valley, and Townsend and possibly Walland, you can find plenty of homes to choose from. Not that much to choose from for rentals, as the service and job markets, fills up most of the rentals. Good luck, and like the earlier post, find the back roads.

TRAFFIC, too many cars, too many drivers that think they are safer by going 5 MPH BELOW the speed limit, and stopping on yellow lights, and of course - TRAFFIC.
The good thing is, there is no shortage of places to buy T-shirts or stuff to take back to show you were there.
Did I mention traffic?

Kerrymac-
Have you ever visited Pigeon Forge? Ever been up to Lake George in recent years? PF is a bigger version.

It is easy to get around the traffic but there is alot of it. Houses are very expensive compared to what I was used to in GA. There are not alot of high paying jobs around the area.

Seymour, just north of Sevierville between there & Knoxville, is a better option. I lived in Pigeon Forge. Traffic is an issue there.
