Can anyone recommend a good place to get a haircut in Knoxville? I'm looking for a place where you can ask them to recommend a new style and where they won't fuss at you for asking for something besides a #4 high and tight.

I generally get my hair cut every couple of months, and always end up looking like I'm heading off to boot cam when I walk out. This includes Great Clips, Supercuts, Sports Clips, etc.

Price isn't a major concern.

Thanks!

I've always had good luck in the JC Penney's in East Town Mall. They are the only ones who have never cut my hair so I looked like a guy. Bill likes going to Penny's too.
Good luck,
Pam

I've gone to the Aveda salon in West Town Mall since I moved here (under a year ago) and have been pleased with the results.

Salon Biyoshi in west knox/kingston pike does a great job for my DH and me. There are many outstanding stylists to choose from.

I've been going to Marcie at Orange Curl Salon in West Knoxville for years. It's a more traditional salon although you see everyone in there from elderly ladies with blue grey curls to kids and males of all ages.
I've never seen anyone walk out unhappy or with a bad cut. I have "difficult" hair and I've been extremly happy with how she does it.
Orange Curl is in the Krogers/Home Depot shopping center on Kingston Pike just west of Cedar Bluff.

When I lived in Farragut I went to Orange Curl. It has been around a very long time!

Thanks for the replies. No, I'm a guy. I'd be even more upset if I were a girl with longer hair walking out of Supercuts with a buzz cut

Yep. I thought so.

I'll have to ask my husband where he got his haircut. It came out really nice, for once. He's out cutting up a tree right now, though.
