It's the same all over
I think the job situation is likely kind of grim. While there are jobs available, there is company after company closing their doors, or laying off employees. Knoxville has not escaped the economic problems that are going on all over the country.
I think to move somewhere without a job in hand would be very risky. Unless of course you are financially set and don't need a job to pay the bills.
At an inspection last week, my client took a phone call from a co-worker. The co-worker had just been laid off. My client knew that four people were getting pink slips, but couldn't say anything. At least he still had a job.
Good luck with your plans, and your move, but I think the grass is about the same color on the other side of the fence.

How is Knoxville?
I was just wondering what it was like in Knoxville. Me and my Husband are thinking about moving down there from Maryland to be alittle closer to his family in kingsport. I just worried with the Economy if there are jobs In Knoxville and if its a stable place to raise our two little girls. Im also wondering if there is anything to do there for a young couple in their 20's
. But more importantly as far as work..My husband does mostly warehouse work and I have always done customer service. If anyone could give me a heads up on what I might be getting into I would appreciate it.
