Lots of muscle cars.

Once again, that high-end European stuff is not too common around here.
Do you remember which day of the week it was? Was it the Kroger on Maynardville Pike?

It was today!

When I say we were just shopping at Kroger's I mean it!

Yep. The one on Maynardville Highway. Lots of cars. My husband liked the the Super Bird. There were lots of Camaros, Chevelles, and they had a older cars, too, like a '32 Ford. Really nice show. They had a long list of sponsors and were selling food. Looks like the local high school, or something, set up a bake sale, too.

Very successful show.

We have driven by more shows than you can imagine. It seems like there is always one going on. People around here love their cars.

My husband is an auto mechanic so we drive a couple of Saturns.

He doesn't have the time to have a play car. Oh, well.

There are some good dirt track super late model races close to Knoxville next weekend, sponsored by SRRS -- Southern Regional Racing Series.
April 17 they'll be at Wartburg
Welcome to Wartburgspeedway.net!
April 18 at The Mountain in Maryville.
The Mountain Raceway Park and Fairgrounds - A New Beginning
Top national racer Scott Bloomquist has both on his schedule and will have other Team Zero members with him. One of the few times this year he's racing in the area, now that Atomic is closed and Bulls Gap is limping.
The regional racers put on a great show. It's good family entertainment.

Dirt tracks around here don't do many demo derbies. Puts too much oil on the dirt and you can't just wash it off like you can on asphalt. Tennessee Valley Fair usually has some good demos in the fall.
You might want to check out Redneck Racin' night at Smoky Mountain in June. They'll have a Best Mullet contest, Best Beer Belly contest, Men’s sexy leg contest and special prizes throughout the night.

I will be there the end of the month. If you hear of anything let me know.
