I am looking to but on the lake. The weather bureau posted tornado info that showed heavy ones in the 1973-74 time period as well as 1998. They listed the towns hit as Murph to Andrews, Brasstown, Vance to Maltby, Brasstown to Marble and Wolf Creek to Ranger. I searched the maps and could not find any one of these towns, Does the weather bureau know what they are talking about? Anyone know where these towns are. Thanks

All these towns are in Cherokee County, NC, no where near Cherokee Lake, TN. They're in the far south-western tip of NC, where TN, NC, and GA meet up. Wolf Creek is actually just an area designated by an actual creek, off Highway 64 about 30-40 minutes on past the Ocoee river. Ranger is a small sub-area of Murphy, NC.
