I say go for downtown. Your stuff will still be there next weekend, long after all that delicious BBQ and Italian food is gone. I try to never pass up a chance at good barbecue.
Thx for the tip about the flowers, looking forward to the blooms!

Well...I'm on a diet. I just started it this week and already lost 10 pounds so it might be smart to stay home. I just don't know how many people I will actually get. Maybe some folks going to or from the festivities.

Have a lot of fun this weekend, Dubble T!!!!!!!

If you love dogs, or maybe even if you don't, this is an incredibly cool story. Buddy goes to get help while his owner's workshop is burning. It was a good thing, because the state trooper was lost and his GPS froze (you got to love those poor cops up in Alaska. tough job).

The cop sees Buddy and on a hunch, starts following him. Sure enough, the dog leads the way. Check out the dash cam to see Buddy actually stop and make sure the cop is following him. The cop says that once Buddy got to the driveway, he waited for the cop and then once the cop gets out of the car, Buddy starts nudging him toward the workshop.

I love dogs.

Question: We were originally scheduled to visit Nashville later this month, however, we all know what awful flooding they had, so..... please let me know why I should perhaps visit Knoxville - love site-seeing, history, anything really - open to any suggestions. Thank you in advance!!
