Default Red Robin Opening!!!!

Hey guys, after our yummy, yummy harmburger joint thread, I thought I would share this with everyone. I had emailed them to find out about the opening date and what not, and even posted their response on here. Well, today they emailed me saying that they're doing a complimentary sampling in the restaurant next week, Tuesday through Saturday, by reservation only. Every reservation is good for a table of four, a free item from the menu and drink for all four, to evaluate their service and food. They have lunch and dinner spots available, first come first serve. If any of you want a free great burger from Red Robin, simply call 777-1112 and ask for Rhonda. I'll be there Wednesday at 1 PM for my free lunch, anyone that wants to come out, come on and join us!

Now what's so great or original about Red Robin? How do they compare to 5 Guys or Fuddruckers? Thanks.

I've been to Red Robin, and I have to tell you, their food tasted like gnat p*ss. Way overrated and overpriced. Hopefully your experience will be much better than mine.

I went to the one in Salt Lake City. Service was awful too. Would be more excited if In-N-Out Burger decided to expand on the East Coast. Their burgers are the best ever.

Well, isn't that a nice description, bless your heart.

You guys ever think that people have different tastes? I mean escargot is considered a delicacy and sells for exorbitant amounts of money, so do truffles and sea cucumbers, not like I nore probably 90% of the people reading this would eat them.
I went to a Red Robin in CT with friends of mine that have children with sevier food allergies, the servers and cook were so good about it and made special items off menu just for them.
I can't remember what I had as it was several years ago but I didn't have any complaints. And I can be supper picky about restaurants. But everyone has there own likes and dislikes, no reason to be so condescending about an opinion.
What I like about this is that a new restaurant will mean new jobs in the area and right now, even if they served dog food, it is good news to have a new anything opening.

All I can say, is that I am hard-pressed to find anyone who has the taste for "cold" food. I think it is safe to say most people prefer at least a "warm" burger and fries.

Just because we give our honest opinion, does not make it "condescending". If I am seeking information from any forum, I prefer blatant honesty over lies.

Nice! Thanks for the heads up, William!

I actually like Red Robin's WAY more than Fuddruckers or Ruby Tuesday's and have been looking forward to it's opening here for a bit! And getting a meal free is just gravy!

For those likening it to "gnat p*ss," hopefully it's just a subjective difference in taste and not a difference in quality as the ones I visited were on the west coast and I have not made it to the locations more local to Knoxville.

I'll be finding out soon enough I guess.

You really can't judge any restaurant on the "free meal" because that is a dress rehearsal so to speek and a chance for them to identify where problems exist. I once went to a "free meal" at Chilis and it was a horrible disaster. However, a return trip to the same Chilis with co-workers a few months later resulted in a great meal.
