Default Also wanting to leave HR area for TN

Hi,

I'm currently also in the Hampton Roads area (NN) and trying to relocate as well, and Knoxville/East TN is an area I'd seriously consider as FAR better than here . I've not lived there, but have college friends who do, and have visited there. Went to college in TN (near Chatt) and compared to what NN is now I totally agree with wanting to get OUT - and I teach here in one of the "best" NN schools (BIG joke) - I've lived/taught elsewhere in/out of state and as a teacher you're making a FAR better choice IMO . Came back (not planned) around 4 years ago and haven't been really happy since I did (and I'm originally from this area also but mostly didn't grow up here.) East TN is MUCH prettier and like others have said less costly/crime problems than here. From what I've discovered in beginning to check things out West Knoxville seems to be the area a lot of people want to be in...?? Have heard mixed comments about the schools overall, but still can't be worse than here!! If you have any specific information you've found about Knoxville areas I would appreciate knowing that also as I'm waiting to hear back from already completed job applications with the school system for Spanish teaching(though I'm not into the fishing!) If others presently in Knox have info that would also be helpful. Thanks!!

Just to add that there are lots of desirable areas in Knox County, with good schools, not just West Knoxville.

I wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to help out a complete and total stranger and making them feel welcome. Just looking to take care of my family. I don't believe I will be living in Knoxville, but somewhere in Knox Co. Sounds like I need to take a drive on down there and get a feel for it myself. Hopefully I will fall in love with it like everyone else seems to have.
