Default Best Knoxville Hotels?

Hi all,

I'm planning our trip up and have a couple of questions about the area hotels. If anyone has any info it would be helpful. Here are the hotels that look good based on tripadvisor.com:

Ranked #1: Homewood Suites Knoxville West
10935 Turkey Drive, Knoxville, TN 37922

Ranked #2: Country Inn & Suites, by Carlson
7525 Crosswood Rd., Knoxville, TN 37914

Ranked #3: Hilton Knoxville
501 West Church Avenue, Knoxville, TN

We'll be traveling with 2 small children (3.5 years & 12 month old), so any place that is family friendly, maybe with a playground near by would be great.

Another idea we had was to possibly rent a cabin in Pigeon Forge, but I'm worried that might be too far out of the way for us explore all of the Knoxville area. We're going to look at Maryville, Knoxville, and Fountain City.

Thanks for any advise you can give!

I've stayed at the Hilton and loved it.

The Homewood Suites is at Turkey Creek, which is a nice area.

There's a Hampton Inn near me. It's exit 108 off of I-75. That puts you right near Fountain City and downtown Knoxville but puts you about 30 minutes to downtown Maryville.

Oh! And don't forget that your kids will love The Fountain City Park and the duck pond, too!

Still doing some research on hotels. Does anyone know if this hotel is in a good/safe area?
Comfort Suites East: 7230 Region Lane, near Huckleberry Springs Road, Knoxville, TN 37924

We're traveling with kids, so have a room with a separate bedroom will probably work best for us. Hojmewood Suites looks good, but I want to have a back up, just in case they're booked up or something.

Thanks in advance!

All your choices are great, and in addition, the Holiday express at cedar bluff is great, with indoor pool, and right down on Peters, is Jameson Inn. I just spent last 3 days at the Marriott, with clients, and they loved it, also has pool. One great thing, is its in easy walking distance of many great places to eat, and Five guys, is right across the street. Good luck.

That looks like the Strawberry Plains exit, which is fine. No problems there. However, it might be slightly away from the places that you are looking at. Bob's choice might put you closer to all the places you want to see.

Thanks for the tips! I tried to book a one bedroom at the Hyatt in downtown, but they were already booked up. I'll check out these suggestions as well.

Woops, I meant to say Hilton (as recommended earlier), but they were booked up. Thanks again.

Have you tried Bob's idea of the Holiday Inn Express? If it passes his muster it is going to be good!

If you want to stay in the downtown area, you might want to check out the Sheraton Four Points on White Ave. It's in a residential area one block from World's Fair Park.
