Where are you?
If you were attending school at Pellissippi and working in Knoxville....where would your home be located?

That one depends heavily on where you're working in Knoxville. Something east, I'd probably try to find a home somewhere along Middlebrook. Something west and I might try for a nice cheap house in Farragut (haha!)
What I would ideally do is be working somewhere downtown, live in the Old North Knox area and just do the commute to Pellissippi.

Say Fort Sanders or UT.

That would put me right at The West Towne Mall. Lots of choices all around there!

East Town. When we first moved to Knoxville, we rented an apartment in East Town. Then we left Knoxville for Dandridge and Corryton, after a year we moved back to East Knoxville to the same complex and feel very safe. We love East Town and though East Knoxville has an area that gives the rest of East Knoxville a bad reputation, we love it here.

My daughter went to Pellissippi and worked in Knoxville, and we live in Karns.
She now goes to Tusculum and works in Knoxville (different job), and still lives at home.
Since you can easily get from one side of Knoxville to the other in a relatively short amount of time, it's really not that big of a deal.

As has been said, there are about a million moderately priced, safe apartment complexes around West Town Mall. That would place you pretty much right in the middle. But if you're interested in regularly visiting establishments at night, at look closer to downtown, maybe South Knox, Fort Sanders, or downtown if you can afford it and just make the "long" trip to Hardin Valley.

Yes but if she's interested in buying ... I would strongly suggest (without knowing anything about her) looking at housing stock up Broadway in Old North/Fountain City.

Are there apartments or houses we could rent in this area and can the teenagers find jobs there? I wish there was a virtual map or something that showed what was in the area.
