The Target in Maryville would be closer to Seymour. It's almost Super status, but not quite. It's near a lot of shoppping and Foothills Mall.

If you're looking for a guarantee that you'll never see crime in South Knoxville, you've come to the wrong place and are asking the impossible.
No one can tell you that South Knoxville--or anywhere--is completely safe. Crime happens everywhere. South Knoxville probably doesn't have as much crime as East Knoxville, but there are never any guarantees in life (except death and taxes of course). Some of the large apartment complexes in South Knoxville that cater to UT students are notorious for car break-ins, that I do know.

Hey SuzieQ, I just put a house under contract in Seymour, and you will love the views of the mountains, and lots of choice to select from. John Sevier Hwy, is only about 10 minutes from Seymour, and I drive regularly, from west knox, from Pellissippi, to John Sevier, and only about a 30 minute drive. We have a couple of Targets, as is one of my wifes favorite as well. South Knoxville, like jmt says, is pretty safe, and not heard of any more events there, than any other part of the county. Seymour, will put you about an easy 30 minute drive into Sevierville and is an easy drive. Good luck, and hope you enjoy your visit.
