Living in Seymour
OK, made an offer on a home and it was accepted today at 7PM. Leaving for home early Thursday to finish packing and move in August.
The home is West of Chapman Highway and just South of 441. Close to Chapman Hwy.
Since I am leaving early AM and my Realtor is busy setting up inspections, etc (and I will be driving back to CA) can anyone tell me about telephone/Cable/Internet packages. Which utility companies (on sewer)? Any help, suggestions, experiences, etc will be appreciated.
Looking forward to living there for a Loooong time.

welcome to seymour....when you said 441 did you mean 411? chapman hwy is 441.
seymour straddles 2 counties, so your utility options may differ.
charter is our only package option for phone/internet/TV. you can get dish or directv of course.
our electric is KUB, gas is SCUD (sevier county utility), and water is KCUD as steve said.
no real complaints with any of the utility companies. our power goes out occasionally and we don't know why - there's no storm or wind - but it's not that often.

Seymour
Congrats on your upcoming move to Seymour. You will find it is convenient to Knoxville for all of the shopping and dining venues and to Sevierville / Pigeon Forge for all the tourist attractions. Seymour has a lot of growth potential for new business with all the subdivisions nearby.
We have property on Boyds Creek Road just outside of Seymour so we have Charter Communications, KUB for electricity, SCUD for natural gas and City of Sevierville for water & sewer. We have not had any problems with any of the utility companies. There is a free waste / recycling center for Sevier County residents located just off of Boyd's Creek road near Hodges Bend Road.

Thanks all.
I am now heading home to California to finish packing. I will be back mid August and don't plan on leaving Tennessee.
(Oh, yes I meant 411 not 441.)

Congratulations. I believe others posting prior to me have probably given you the proper information -- I just wanted to say "Welcome".
