Actually if I didn't care about being near Knoxville, I'd live in Greeneville. It is sooo much prettier than Morristown, and Greeneville isn't too far from Johnson City which has almost as much shopping and stuff as Knoxville.

I lived 17 years in Greeneville. Trust me, you'd prefer living in Johnson City. (Just pokin' at ya of course... but I do agree that Greeneville is **much** nicer than Morristown.)

Yeah, don't think I want to put myself further from Knoxville. Living in Greeneville would be a 45 minute trip one way to/from Morristown. About 1 hour 10 minutes or so from Knoxville if I lived there. Also, Johnson City is even 45 minutes from Greeneville... So probably not looking to live in Greeneville..
I like Knoxville A LOT, but I cannot commute an hour a day to work. I would go as far as 45 minutes as long as it wasn't 45 miles.
I like the Dandridge area, but little options near for groceries is concering..

This is all beside the point, but it all depends on where you position yourself. It's possible to live in Greeneville and be in Morristown in 20-25 minutes. From the west side, yeah, JC would be a good 45 minutes.
Looks like there's a Food Lion, Food City (your best bet) and a Save-A-Lot in Jeff City.

On a totally unrelated note, but I don't want to resurrect an old thread, Babe's Lounge in the Howard Johnson's on Kingston Pike in Knoxville is now doing a comedy night on Sundays.
At least that's what the sign in front of the hotel said when I drove by the other day. May want to give them a call.
Babes Lounge : Restaurants : Metro Pulse

What kind of grocery shopping are you looking for? As jabo mentioned, Dandridge does have a couple of supermarkets. The Food City there is almost brand new and is quite nice. There's also a Wal-Mart SuperCenter in nearby Jefferson City.
Then again, maybe you'd like Morristown, who knows. Just because I think it's a dump doesn't mean you wouldn't like it. Some people absolutely love the place. Take a visit, maybe you'd be happy living closer to work in Morristown and just visiting Knoxville on weekends.

Thanks for the tip about the Comedy Night. I would imagine it is Comedy Zone getting back to town.
Anywho, anyone know of places to find rentals within 30 miles of Morristown besides Craigslist? People on there don't like to put pictures or even email you pictures half the time. (No lie I actually had someone tell me they didn't have any pictures of their house for rent then tell me even though I live in North Carolina that they wouldn't even give me the address to google map it....) LOL, I just moved on..
Any for rent places to look for that area online? I am coming up blank, just craiglist and some crappy sites like Apartment.com

Citizen Tribune
Here's the classifieds - apartments for the Morristown paper. I'm not sure if there's a Jeff City paper or a Dandridge paper or not.
I feel for ya. I'm moving at the moment as well and one lady wouldn't give me the address - for a house in the SAME CITY that I lived in. I was like, okay, thank you, nevermind....

I think you might prefer somewhere in between Knoxville and Morristown. Maybe Strawberry Plains/Holston Hills/Mascot areas.

That would be nearly an hours drive to work.... Need to be at most 45 minutes.
