Hi everyone I have posted a couple times before and my family is so confused (still lol) on what area to focus on. There is so much to choose from but need a safe place to raise our kids ages 6 and 3 1/2 also would love to have good schools. The areas we have been looking at are Karns, Halls, Cedar Bluff, Fountain City, Gibbs and Concord. Can anyone give me information on these areas and what one or two would be the best fit. We need stores and (a walgreens since husband works for them) within a 20 minute drive. I know alot of people are going to say Fountain city witch is good but we would like at least two areas so we will not be limited to just that one. Should we avoid anyone of these areas. We need a house with 3 bedroom, 2 baths with a bonus room and a nice size fenced yard. Price range like I said before is 175,00 - 215,000. Thank you very much I hope I put enough information for you all

I vote for Cedar Bluff. But I may be biased having just bought there. Depends on what you're used to.

You really have to get to K'ville and spend some time getting to know the various areas.

All are good. Concord is the only one that may be a little pricey. You'll get more acreage for the money in Gibbs or Halls. Depending on the neighborhood, the newest schools are Karns. There's a Walgreen's nearly everywhere...so no worries there.

All of those areas are not that far apart. It will be easy to check out all of them. Also, a Walgreen's will be near all of them.

Concord and Cedar Bluff will be more expensive. It puts you in the West Knoxville area. Many, many transplants move to that area. It can be very busy on Kingston Pike.

Gibbs and Halls are slightly off the beaten path. They are a bit "out" in the sense that you are not near a large highway and will have a bit of a drive to get to one. There are some transplants, but there are a lot of people that have known each other since they were born. It might take some getting use to.

Karns is fairly close to the highway, has a mix of people, and is also centrally located. More money than Fountain City and Halls/Gibbs, but a bit less than Concord and Cedar Bluff.

We've already told you about Fountain City. If I remember correctly, I sent you a lot of real estate links for that area. I'll finally be going for my real estate license in September!

Anyway, you will be able to see all the areas. I wouldn't worry.

I take that back. Concord goes to Farragut schools, I believe. They are all very good.

All areas are safe. It is Knox County schools, so you have the same curriculum.

I take that back. Concord goes to Farragut schools. No matter. They are all good.

I spent last weekend driving all over that area, and I liked the Halls and Karns area very much. I am also looking to relocate, to start a business, so I am in the same boat as you... there is so much to think about and so much to choose from. Good luck in your search!!

You're looking for at least five acres out in the country. Different search.

I found you a nice house in Concord. No fence, though. Four bedroom with bonus room. $209,00. I'll send you the link!

I know. I can't help myself.

Yes, I know, but I still need to be close to civilization for a business And it's fun driving around looking at areas, but trying to decide where to really end up... that's a difficult decision because you constantly second guess yourself.
