Not Pigeon Forge, but a bit down the road in Sevierville (corner of Parkway and 66 behind the never opened gas station painted to look like a tram) is China Town restaurant. FABULOUS food (no buffet, thankfully) and a little mom and pop type place. Miss it immensely. We could walk in (family of five) and as soon as the waiter walked over, he began reciting our impending order. We only went there a few times a month and he knew us that well.

Amen! And their all-you-can-eat ribs deal is pretty sweet!
No offense to the OP--I love Chinese food and used to live in China--but asking for good Chinese food in Pigeon Forge is like asking for good fried chicken in Paris.

I realize it is not "real" Chinese. It is my Chinese, the kind I grew up with and love. Doesn't make it authentic but I like it, anyway.

Oh I didn't mean it that way, sorry about that. I didn't mean to imply that because it's not "real" Chinese food it's not worthy.
I meant to say: why would someone go to the mountains of East Tennessee and then want Chinese food? Food for me is part of the cultural experience of visiting a region. When I go to China I don't want to eat American food, when I go to France I don't want to eat Mexican food. For me, I would want to find the good places that serve local food. I know that makes me sound terribly snobbish, and maybe I am. But I'm really not!

Oh, I am with you there. It's not snobby at all! I always want to get the local specialties because I want to experience another culture and I am also guaranteed that the cook is very, very good at making that type of food.
But the OP, Jen, lives around here.

Oh I love good Chinese food, too! I hope you're able to get some while you're in Pigeon Forge. Be sure and let us know how it turned out!
