Starting to sound like the beaches of Florida.
How about enjoying East TN for what IT has to offer. Beautiful mountains, fishing, out door activities/festivals, culture, etc.
Another thread "Stuff to do besides eat in Knoxville" has some great suggestions from the locals.

There is a place that rents waverunners downtown just google Knoxville & jetskis. They are pricey on the weekend but not bad during the week. I decided to go down the Ocoee this weekend instead of renting one of these for a day b/c it would be cheaper.

For cheap thrills, drive out to Townsend near the Smokies and go tubing on the Little River. Several tubing companies there with prices starting as low as $8 for the day.

They've definitely got jet ski's and other boats for rental at Fort Loudon Marina. It's about 10 minutes west of Farragut, but a good place to spend the afternoon. There's a nice park to play at and eat lunch, there's a Calhoun's on the river with pull in slips, and they rent by hour or by day. That part of the lake is huge, deep, and wide open, so a lot of places to explore. Additionally, if you go underneath the main bridge into Tellico Lake, just about 500 yards from the marina and veer left, you'll see the Tellico Cliffs, which can test your courage level. There's a 10' cliff, a 30', and about a 65' cliff. It's fun to go swim around, jump off, or just roll by and watch the locals jumping. There's also a few islands around to beach up to and swim around for a while. Have fun, be safe!!
