This week's Metropulse (out today, Thursday) has the Fair brochure in it. Handy reference.

I got that! Very handy. I've never been, and I happen to be very busy, but I still am going to try and check it out.

Hey badbird I have been to the Hillsborough County Fair and yes many days it was cold. I bought tickets to this one. Wate.com had them on half off Thursday and you could buy 4 tickets for 18.00. They may still have some offers. Check it out. I have never been to the Tennessee fair but am looking forward to it. Just would like a cool weather day. We are going Sept 15th.

I'm used to big country fairs up in New England. Went to the Lee County fair in Fort Myers, FL and was incredibly disappointed. So, I have never been to this one.

I was reading the handbook and it looks like it will be similar to what I remember when I was younger. I love looking at the 4-H exhibits and such and they have that in Knoxville.

What is the best day to go to the fair? I have heard not to go at night on the weekends, but that was from some country folk afraid of city life at night I feel.

This is when the fair is packed with tons of people. I personally love the weekend days, full of people and an air of excitement!

Oh! You are going to get me excited! Between the Vols game, Boomsday and the fair I might just explode with happiness!

Ah, it was so fun being at TVF every September.

I remember the last time I was there, I was in the haunted trailer/portable building, a young boy, a student at Austin-East High School, dressing up as Jason Voorhees. As we we were walking in, he would chase (really fast) us out of the building with something, perhaps a fake ax.
