Urgent Care / After Hours near Lenoir City (Knoxville, Maryville: pharmacy, store)

We are new to the area, and just had a 4 year old with an ear infection tonight (Saturday around 9pm). To my surprise, we could not find any after hours / urgent care facility that is open late at night. We had to go to a hospital emergency room. The issue is the cost. Our co-pay for an urgent care center is $15, but for an ER it is $100.

In Detroit, where we came from, these 24 hour urgent care facilities were in every town. They weren't a hospital, but could handle after hours type stuff and charged a small premium, but nothing like an ER.

Are there any of these in Knoxville, or near Lenoir City? All the ones I see close around 3-4pm on Saturday.

Maryville has the East TN Medical Group Care Today Clinic. I have used it and it is great. They close on Saturdays at 6 pm. They are open on Sunday: East Tennessee Medical Group - CareToday Clinic

Walgreens has Take Care Clinics; there is one in Lenoir City! They are open in the morning from 9:30 to 5pm (they closed today at 5 pm): Session Expired | Store Locator | Walgreens
We have used these with great success. If you can make it until then you can see the Nurse Practictioner and get your meds before you leave the pharmacy.

The ER at the hospital in Lenoir City can see you also if it is too urgent to wait (but I understand about the co-pay). Good luck.

Thenk you Beretta! That is helpful. I did not know about the Walgreens clinic. We will look into it.

Seems "emergencies" never happen during normal business hours for us!
